It was with great pleasure that VEDLIoT organized a session with HiPEAC CSW, last week, April 27 from 11:30 – 13:00 (EEST), in Tampere, Finland.
The session, entitled HAccIoT: Heterogeneous Hardware Acceleration for Edge and IoT, was opened by Pedro Trancoso (Chalmers) who explained how the VEDLIoT project is bringing more intelligence to everyday things, thanks to Deep Learning powered by custom processors. Then, Kevin Mika (UNIBI) and Mario Porrman (UOS) also presented some of the work being done in VEDLIoT concerning hardware platforms and the performance evaluation and benchmarking in the project.
We believe that the objectives of the special session were fully achieved and we are thankful to the HiPEAC CSW organisers.
