We ended VEDLIoT participation at HiPEAC 2024 on a high note with the DL4IoT workshop!
Attendance at the workshop was very positive and the presentations were of high quality. We had descriptions of ongoing work on advanced machine learning techniques useful in a wide range of applications, as well as the ongoing work and challenges faced by a number of European projects (aerOS, CloudSkin, COGNIFOG, ICOS), which are exploring the use of machine learning to manage the edge-cloud continuum.
The workshop closed with the identification of important research questions to be addressed in the coming years, to which all participants contributed.
